Learned paper making in his father's mill in Millbury, MA; He purchased a saw mill in 1800 in Sharon VT and later had a paper mill. Paper from his mill was used to print numerous early Bibles in VT; some may be seen at the VT Historical Society, VT History Center, Barre VT.
The Burbank stones were originally in the front of the cemetery but when the Highway department decided to widen Route 14, the stones and a shovel full of dirt was moved to the back of the cemetery which explains why the monuments are in such neat rows.
