Wife of Carl Odell

Our Mom, Virginia Cobb, went on a long-awaited trip to heaven since our Dad passed away.

She was born May 11, 1928. She lived in Reidland and was retired from SKW. Virginia was a long-time member of Pinkneyville Baptist Church in Pinkneyville, and a frequent member of the congregation of Faith Gospel Temple in Gilbertsville. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Streete and Clara Bell Forester, her husband, Carl O. Cobb, a son, Benny Bruce Cobb, and a grandson, Rudy D. Cobb.

In going home, she was accompanied by her beloved dog, Logan.

She is survived by two daughters, Connie (Ronnie) Kitchens, and Sandy Cobb, a selected son, Ed Farrell. She has two grandchildren living, Tara (Matt) McLeane of Hernando, MS, and Ryan (Heather) Kitchens of Salem, KY, six great grandchildren, Tatelynn (Ryan), Bryan (Rudy), Samual, Sawyer, Collen, and Miss Clara (Tara). She has three cousins, Edie Vaughn, and the late Bob Vaughn of Michigan, Juanita Hatley of Calvert City, and Dorsey (Weldon) Soloman of Benton, three second cousins, Roseann Everett, Shane Soloman and Mike Culp, one third cousin, Tucker Soloman.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August, 28, 2017 at Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY, with Bro. Joel Frizzell and Bro. Mark Shumaker officiating. Burial will follow at Leonard Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Matt McLeane, Shane Soloman, J.D. Draffen, Ryan Kitchens, Samual McLeane, and Ed Farrell.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY.
