Lars "Louis" Thorsen Fatland emigrated from Norway on 11 Jun 1877 with his parents and 5 of his 8 siblings: Carrie, Erick, Mangela, Sivert "Ole", and Severt Thorsen. Two older brothers, Thor and Nels, emigrated earlier @1874, He married Mangela "Maggie" Olsen, his first cousin, on 12 Jan 1890 in Chicago at the home of her sister, Hannah. Together they raised 2 daughters, Sallie Emilia and Mabel Lillian. Two sons, Arthur and Theodore, died in infancy and are buried together in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Chicago.

Lars & Maggie's plots do not have a grave marker. To date, I have not found out why.
