She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Lawrence J. Fink. She was raised on a farm near New Almelo, Kansas. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic Elementary School and graduated as valedictorian from Sacred Heart High School in Salina, Kansas. She is survived by her 5 children: Timothy Fink (Becky), Roberta Boyle (Charles), Linda Stone of Memphis, Paula Wood of Detroit and Dennis Fink (Veronica) of Atlanta; brother, John Nusse of Wisconsin and sister, Helen Neeland of California; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and former daughter-in-law, Eusebia L. Fink. She and Larry lived in Cawker City, Kansas; Salina, Kansas; Topeka, Kansas; Battle Creek, Michigan and Mobile, Alabama. They were energetic and devout members of Holy Family parish of Mobile since retirement in 1976. She was also active regionally and nationally in the Cursillo movement.
The family will receive friends at Holy Family Church on Friday, January 29th, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Rev. Mark Neske. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raymond Bodet, Paul Cussen, Lee Eiler, Andrew Fink, Michael Stone, Ellis Ollinger, III, Colin Bodet and Shawn Carrithers.
