Mrs. Ida Brame, who came here last week from Amarillo to attend the funeral of Mrs. R. A Stewart, formerly Mrs. R. H Brame, has written to Rev. J. A. Ruffner and from her letter the following information in regard to deceased is obtained.
In girlhood she was Carrie Burton, and was reared by an aunt, her mother having died; when she was a child. A sister passed on to the land of the Leal many years ago, but there are two surviving; brothers, whose addresses were not known to the writer of the letter. She was married to R. H. Brame at St. Charles, Mo., on February 14th, 1904, the couple having met in Oklahoma City previously. In early life she was a member of the Christian church, but in 1906 she joined the Methodist church at El Reno, Okla. with her then husband, R. H. Brame.
The latter died in Santa Anna two or more years ago and she continued to reside here until June 2 of this year (1917), when she was married to Rev. R. A. Stewart and went to reside with him at new found home near Gouldbusk. In less than a month she was taken sick and an operation was decided on. The operation was performed on Saturday and she died Monday, failing to recover from the shock to her lowered vitality.
