Mrs. Nichols Dies in Kenton Hospital Saturday

ALGER, Mar. 23 - Mrs. Flossie Nichols, 16, Alger, died at 8 a.m. Saturday in McKitrick hospital, Kenton, of body burns suffered Thursday when her clothing ignited while she was using some cleaning fluid.
Mrs. Nichols, a native of McGoffin-co, Ky., was cleaning clothes in her home, it was reported, when the fluid ignited, apparently from sparks from a nearby coal stove. Her husband, Ervine, extinguished the flames.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Girlish Cole; four brothers, Raymond, Arnold, Ernest and Thomas; and two sisters, Velma and Virginia, all of Alger.
The body will remain at the Hanson funeral home where final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Preston cemetery.
