ADAM FAUST, BRADFORD PATRIARCH, PASSES ON
Well beloved nonagenarian and Civil War Veteran leaves 70 living descendants - Long Useful Life
"Adam Faust, well beloved Bradford patriarch and Civil War veteran, died yesterday at the home of his son, CAPTAIN CHARLES FAUST, No. 9 Brennan Street. Mr. Faust had reached the advanced age of 91 years and had almost 70 living descendants, leaving 4 children, 29 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. He had been ill for about a month, death being caused by complication incident to old age."
"Mr. Faust's long life was an active and useful one. When still a young man, he served his country bravely and faithfully, as a member of COMPANY B, 211th PENNSYLVANIA VOLUNTEERS in the CIVIL WAR. Throughout his residence in this city, Mr. Faust's high character and kindly nature won the respect and affection of his fellow citizens."
"Mr. Faust is survived by one son, CHARLES FAUST of this city: three duaghters, MRS. S. B. WILLIAMS, of Nebraska City, Neb.: MRS. OTTO LYONS and MRS. SAMUEL SMITH of DuBois; a daughter-in-law, MRS. JOHN FAUST of Mahaffey, PA; 29 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren."
"Brief private funeral services were held at 8:30 o'clock last evening at the home, Rev. E. H. Nichols, pastor of Hill Memorial U. B. (United Brethren) Church, of which Mr. Faust was a member, officiated. Miles Wagner sang appropriate selections. The body will be taken at 11:50 o'clock this morning to DuBois, PA, for funeral and burial."

He 1st married Janes Groves in Beechtree, Jefferson Co. PA 12/25/1854.
He 2nd married Louise Bonsell on 6/5/1870 and had last 3 children by her.
