Mrs. Ethel Kiger Lockart, 78, of Kirby, died at 11:15 a.m. Friday, May 15, 1970,
in Greene County Memorial Hospital. She had been seriously eil since suffering
a cerebral hemmorhage Monday.
She was born November 6, 1891, in Perry Township, near Brock, a daughter of M.
C. and Belle Fox Kiger. Her husband, George B. Lockart, died June 2, 1961.
Mrs. Lockart had spent nearly all of her life in Whiteley Township near Kirby,
and was a member of the Claughton Chapel United Methodist Church and the
Whiteley Township Farm Women Society.
Surviving are one daughter, Lucille, wife of Floyd T. Davis, of Waynesburg, R.
D. 2; one son, Eugene Lockart, of Mt. Morris Star Route; five grandchildren and
four great-grandchldren; one sister, Mrs. Ralph (Minnie) Jones, of Waynesburg,
R. D. 2; and two brothers, R. Edgar Kiger, of Waynesburg, R. D. 4, and Sylva
Kiger, of Waynesburg.
One granddaughter, two brothers, and two sisters are deceased.
