Ill for the past three months of complications, Floyd N. Kiger, aged 50 years, president of the Mt. Morris Volunteer Fire Company, and an outstanding civic leader in that section, died at his father's home near Kirby on Monday morning, October 3, at 11 o'clock.
The deceased was a lifelong resident of that district, and was born June 17, 1888, a son of M. C. and Belle Fox Kiger, who survive along with the widow, Mertle Cassidy Kiger, and a son, Willis Kiger, of Mt. Morris. A daughter, Lulu Evelyn Kiger, is deceased. The following sisters and brothers also survive: Mrs. Ethel Lockhart, of Kirby; Mrs. Minnie Jones, of Waynesburg; Ina Kiger, of Kuhntown; Charles Kiger, of Waynesburg; Edgar Kiger, of Smith Creek, and Sylva Kiger. Mr. Kiger had been employed by the West Penn Power Company of West Virginia.
