Funeral Mass was said at 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Rose for Mrs. Mary Jo Nally, interment following in the church cemetery nearby. Mrs. Nally died at 12:30 p.m. Friday, February 21, 1964, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ella Shields, 201 West High Street, this city, after an illness of infirmities incident to advanced age. She was in her 89th year. The body was prepared at the Hale & Polin Funeral Home and returned to the Shields residence Saturday morning to await burial. Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Mark Derringer, Mrs. Blandford Smith, Mrs. Robert Kelty, and Mrs. Bertus Switser; a son, John Bert Nally; a brother, Edd Dowling, Sr., 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchldren, all of Springfield.
