Sadie Kleen, daughter of J. W. and Anna Bowman, after a lingering illness, passed away on Dec. 27, 1950, at her home north of Bruning.
The deceased was born in Nebraska Township, Livingston County, Illinois on May 23, 1882. A few weeks later, on June 20, she was baptized. At the age of 14, on April 11, 1897, she was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran church at Bruning.
On August 25, 1910, she was united in marriage to Claus Kleen.
Immediate mourners of her departure are her husband, Claus; two sons, Harold Kleen and Melvin Kleen; two brothers, John A. Bowman and W. H. Bowman; nine half-sisters and brothers, Janna Kalkwarf, Carrie Knutzen, Minnie Wilhelms, Emma Busse, Julena Peterson, Rosaline Sitone, Frank, George and Carl; grandchildren and other relatives.
Two of her children, one sister and one half-brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church with interment in the church cemetery.
