His other children, Rita and Allen, are buried back in Albany County, NY. His wife Kate died 25 Apr 1906 in West Albany, Albany County, New York and is buried in Albany Rural Cemetery.
Most of his life in New York, he is listed as a farmer in the Bethlehem/New Scotland area of Albany County, NY. According to his death cert, John moved to Los Angeles, California with his daughters, Rose and Kitty, along with Kitty's husband Harris Hallenbeck about 1916. In the 1920 Federal census, he is listed living with his daughter Rose in Los Angeles and is the owner of a confectionary store. He lived with his daughter Rose and her husband, Arthur MacDougall, until his death in 1938.
