Bert Wesley Harding 88 of Harrison Bert Wesley Harding, 88, of Harrison passed away Saturday, Nov. 25 (2006) at his home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Elmer Griever officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at the chapel. Burial will be in New Hope/Starkey Cemetery on Wilson Springs Road.
Pallbearers will be Bill Carlton, Zanetta Carlton, Cynthia Carlton, Wesley Harding, Lynn Harding, Buddy West and Connie Young.

Honorary pallbearers include Garland Brasel, Leroy Simmons, Hersel Jefferson, Les Hathcoat and James Hathcoat.

The son of Troy Wesley and Sarah Berthena (Hathcoat) Harding was born Nov. 12, 1918, in Olvey. Bert was a lifelong resident of the area and retired as a Boone County road foreman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James Paul Harding; a half-brother, Warren Wesley Harding; and a granddaughter, Zanetta Evelyn Carlton.

He is survived by his wife, Emma (Dees) Harding of the home; a daughter, Janis Evelyn Carlton and her husband, Arland, of Harrison; grandchildren, William Bert Carlton (who was born on his grandpa?s 50th birthday), James Wesley Harding and Sherry Lynn Harding; great-grandchildren, Zanetta Carlton and Cynthia Dawn Carlton; and three sisters, Mary Harding, Ruth Thomason and Marie Griever and a brother, Troy James Harding, all of Harrison.
