Marie (Harding) Griever, age 88, of Harrison, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 21, 2012, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. Helen Marie Harding was born May 16, 1924, near Olvey, Arkansas, to Troy Wesley and Sarah Berthena (Hathcoat) Harding. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Bert Harding and T.J. Harding; and a sister, Mary Harding.

She graduated from Bellefonte High School in 1940 at the age of 16. Following graduation, she moved to Springfield, Missouri to attend business school. After completing business school, Marie returned to Harrison where she worked at Harrison Grocer Company and was later office manager at Hurley Motor Company.

Marie was married to E. Elmer Griever, Jr. on June 5, 1949, and they spent almost 63 years together. She spent many years as a pastor's wife to Elmer as he pastored churches in Harrison, Cassville (Missouri), Berryville & Eureka Springs. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harrison.
