Mrs. Howell, a native of Bleckley County, had lived in Macon for the past three years. She was a homemaker and a member of Lucy Chapel Methodist Church in Twiggs County.
Survivors include six daughters, Maude Barlow, Audrey Souther, Sara Hamrick and Eva Lou Davis, all of Macon and Rosa Allen and Lois Rozier, both of Danville; a son W.L. Howell of Danville; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
The body will be at the church at 2pm Sundary.
The family will receive friends at Mathis Funeral Home in Cochran from 7 to 9pm today.
The family will be at the residence of Tommy and Rosa Allen at Route 1 Danville.
