Obituary appeared in the Waushara Argus:
Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1896, Mrs. Elizabeth Gustin, at the advanced age of 88 years. Deceased was born in the state of New York in 1808 and removed to Wisconsin and settled in Wautoma in 1854, since which time she has been a resident of Waushara County. Her husband died before she removed west. She reared a family of eight children, six sons and two daughters, five of whom are living, R.M., J.H., Hatfield, David, and Mrs. Scott, all of whom are respected citizens of the county. She also leaves to mourn her loss several sisters and one brother among whom are Geo. Smith, of Plainfield, and Mrs. G. Tennant, of Wautoma..... was member of the Congregational Church, of this village. The funeral will occur from the residence of Mr. Moore in the town of Rose, Thursday at 10 a.m. and the remains will be laid to rest in the Oasis Cemetery.
