OLTON (Special)- Services for Gladys Little, 105, of Olton, Texas, will be a 2:00 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Travis Hart officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home.
She Died Sunday, November 28, 1999, at Runningwater Draw Care Center.
She was born September 16, 1894, in Decatur, Texas. She graduated from High School in Decatur in 1912. She moved to Plainview in 1912 and graduated from Wayland College in 1914 with a degree in education. She taught at Sunshine, Prairieview, Hooper and Science Hill until retirement in 1928. She lived in the Hooper community from 1928 to 1944 and then moved to Plainview, Texas.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Mrs. Amick's Sunday school class and Live Long and Like It Club. She moved to Olton in 1993.
She was preceded in death by a son L. Beeman Hendrick, on June 1, 1999, her first husband, Henry Louis Greenhaw, September 4, 1922, her second husband, Levi Beeman Hendrick, July 7, 1931, and her third husband, Walter Little, November 23, 1959.
Survivors include two daughters, Maye Belle Ogle, of Halfway, Texas, and Mary Lee Pinkerton, of Plainview, Texas, a son, John D. Hendrick of Ingram, a brother H.K. Thomas of Georgetown, Texas, a sister , Marguerite Hall of Tulia, Texas, 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Runningwater Draw Care Center in Olton, Texas.
