Mrs. Lafe Cunningham Dead
Old Resident of Granger, Born in Knos County, Died in Memphis.

Mrs. Arminda Cunningham, 83 years old, widow of Lafe Cunningham, and who was born in Knox County and lived here until her marriage, died Sunday afternoon, July 18, at the Community Home in Memphis where she had been living several months. She had been in poor health two years.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon of last week at the Granger Methodist Church by the Rev. D. F. Woolery, pastor of that church. Burial was in the Granger Cemetery, where Mr. Cunningham is also buried.

Arminda Lingenfelter Cunningham was born in Knox County Nov. 10, 1864. She was married Feb 19, 1882 to Lafayette Cunningham in Benton Township, Knox County. The couple moved shortly afterward to Granger, in Scotland County, where Mr. Cunningham was engaged in the mercantile business six years. They then moved to a farm north of Granger but returned six years later to Granger.

Mr. Cunningham died Feb. 20, 1937, at 88 years of age at the home in Granger. The couple had observed their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary the day before his death. Four brothers and three sisters also preceded Mrs. Cunningham in death.

Surviving are an only daughter, Mrs. Mina Davis of Palisade, Colo., and a brother, Madison Lingenfelter of Kansas City, Kan. There are two grandchildren, Imogene Davis Rosette and Lewis Ralph Davis of Palisade, Colo., and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Rosette came to attend the funeral.

Other relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mr and Mrs. Leory Lingenfelter of Kirksville, and Mrs. and Mrs. Oscar Lingenfelter of Edina; Mrs. Mary Cunningham and Mrs. and Mrs. Earl Cunningham and Mrs Annie Moore, of Rutledtge; and Mr. and Mrs. Morton Cracraft, Venice, Ill.
