Thelma M. (Lee) Hamlin Battle Creek Thelma M. (Lee) Hamlin, 99, passed away peacefully at North Pointe Woods Assisted Living on January 31, 2010, with her loving family present. Thelma was born on June 19, 1910, in Marshall to Edward and Charlotte (Katz) Lee. She attended Marshall Schools and Mullinex Business School. Thelma was a 20 year employee of General Foods. She was a faithful member of the Battle Creek Seventh-Day Adventist Tabernacle. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. Thelma is survived by one son, Kenneth L. (Connie) Hamlin of McMillan, MI., one daughter, Colleen (Eugene) Hamp of Oshkosh, WI., brother James Lee of Marshall; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family extends sincere gratitude for the excellent care given to our Mother and Grandmother: a special thank you to Dr. Montie Gould; North Pointe Woods Assisted Living and Administrative Staff; and Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice and Visiting Nurse Staff. Funeral services to celebrate Thelma's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service, starting at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honor of Thelma are asked to consider the Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence or the Battle Creek Seventh-Day Adventist Tabernacle.
