Jim married Dr. Glenda (Henasy) Lee, in 1935. They were married 30 years. The marriage ended in divorce.
On July 9, 1971 James married Norma L. Williams Chelsey in the Ceresco Baptist Church. She preceded him in death August 12, 2007. Jim was a welder and worked at the former Oliver Corporation until it closed. James then worked for the Shouldice Brothers until he retired in 1976. Jim farmed during his life in Marengo Township until 2004 when he sold the farm.
Jim was an active member of the Ceresco Baptist Church. He was an usher for years as well as serving on the Building & Finance Committee. Jim was a member of Moose Lodge #676 and of the Calhoun County Farm Bureau. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He enjoyed making furniture. James enjoyed traveling. His extensive travels included Europe, Iceland, Fiji, Tahiti, China, The Holy Lands, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, and Alaska.
James is survived by his son, Dr. James Lee, of Marshall; his daughters, Cheryl Bagi, of Marshall, and Brenda (Terry) Eddy, of Marshall; his grandchildren, Dr. Kendall Lee, Karen (Phil) Longman, Lisa (Jeff) Kiessling, Nick (Toni) Eddy, Ryan Bagi, and Lyn Bagi; 6 great grandchildren;
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Clifford Lee, sisters, Blanche Alexander and Thelma Hamm, and his parents, Edward and Lottie Lee.
Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 723 US 27 North on Wednesday at 1PM. There will be no public visitation. Memorial contributions may be made out to the Ceresco Baptist Church.
Burial Services took place on November 24, 2010.
