Pauline married August Frederick Bremer on April 21, 1881 in the church at Uchtenhagen, Germany. Along with husband, August, infant son Frank, her mother Wilhelmine Pieper, Step-father, Michael Pieper, half sisters Ernestine, and Amelia and half brothers, Albert and August they boarded the SS Herder in Hamburg, Germany on September 28, 1881 and set sail for America arriving on October 13th at Castle Garden in New York. From there they traveled to Sumner, Iowa living with an Uncle of August's for the first nine months. The couple also lived in Tripoli and Frederika until August's death in 1904. Due to poor health Pauline lived the last year of her life with her youngest son, August and his family in Waterloo, Iowa.
There were six children born to Pauline and August Bremer. Four sons - Frank, Frederick Wilhelm Henrich, Henry, and August F.; Two daughters - Ida Wilma Bremer (Segebarth), and Amelia Augusta Bremer (Segebarth).
