RITES HELD FOR WILLIAM STOCK
Services were held Sunday for William A. Stock, of Beaverton, who died last Wednesday following a short illness. Mr. Stock, 62 was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County except for 10 years in Saginaw and four years in Lansing. He was employed as a fire department foreman for Dow Chemical Company. Mr. Stock was a member of the Beaverton Masons. Born on February 7, 1899, he was married to the former Fern Oliver on July 20, 1925, in Brooklyn, Mich.
Survivors include his widow, Fern; his father, William R. Stock, both of Beaverton; three sisters, Mrs. Mable Waterman, Coleman, Mrs. Agnes Kopt, Jackson and Mrs. Wava Gallas of Baltimore, Md.; three daughters, Mrs. June Rettman, Mrs. Jean Smith, and Mrs. Billie Tarzwell, all of Beaverton, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. Aaron Hyde officiating. Burial was in Highland cemetery mausoleum.
