John Colby Jr. s/o John Colby and Rachel Barnard. Colby and Barnard families "roots" go back to first settlers of Amesbury, Mass. His birth date is recorded under the Vital Records of Goffstown, Hillsborough Co., New Hampshire. He married @ 1787 probably Hillsborough Co., NH. No Marriage Record on file. Also see book "Colby Family of America" by Frederick Weis.
