Last Rites For Oscar Burton At Palisade Saturday Morning Last Rites for Oscar Duval Burton will be held in the Palisade Presbyterian church Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock with Rev. C. A. Burkholder, assisted by Rev. H. C, Hammann, officiating Mr. Burton succumbed here suddenly Wednesday morning, in a convalescent home at 1138 Pitkin, where he had been while his wife was visiting in California.

Mr. Burton was born to Thomas and Harriet Burton in Ohio. He spent the most of his early life in Kansas and Ohio and has been a resident of Palisade for the last 24 years. He was a painter by occupation and a member of the Presbyterian church.

In 1895 Mr. Burton was married to Winnie Buchanan, who preceded him in death and in October 1937, he was married to Alexa M. Somerville, of Denver, who survives.

He is also survived by two brothers, Ben P. Burton of Ashland, Kan., and Ed. R. Burton, Davenport, Iowa; a sister Mrs. M. B. Freeman, Los Angles; and three stepchildren, Mrs. Agnes Claremont, Patuxent River, Md., Mrs. Marjorie Apendalle, Burbank, Calif., and Miss Edith Jean Somerville, Palisade, and several step-grandchildren.
