Arrived in America Sep 15, 1751. Settled near Iron Stone Creek and operated a mill which was called Nagle's mill and later became Fritz's Mill. The profile sketch was drawn from a photograph which was taken of a painting of him. The painting was on a board which was in the possession of son Peter who found it by accident 140 years after it was drawn. There was a sketch of Joachin's wife also.

Here rests the remains of the former well known Joachim Nagel. He was born February 21, 1706, and died July 26, 1795 being 89 years 5 months and 5 days.
