Eliza met and married convict Charles Buckland when he had served his sentence in Sydney Australia and with their two sons Charles and George returned to his home in Walworth England. He was a chandler and soapmaker.
They had three more children: William ,Eliza and Ellen before emigrating to New York in 1852.
They lived on W 17 th st and had a soft soap manufactury on the premises.
Eliza later gave birth to Alfred James, Edward, Mary Ann and Samuel.
By 1900 Eliza had survived her husband and seven of her children, yet no
one living knows when she died and is buried.
