Obituary in the Journal News Nyack NY on 10 Sep 1960 page 3.

Clara L. Babcock
Mrs. Clara Lois Quackenbush Babcock, a resident of Nyack for some 20 years previous to 1940, died in Baton Rouge, La., on August 30, just three days before she would have celebrated her 68th birthday.
She was born in Mountainville, N.Y., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John William Quackenbush. Her father was a descendant of the brothers Quackenbush who came from Holland to the United States 300 years ago. The clan gathered only two weeks ago in Memorial Park, Warwick, coming from 12 states, the District of Columbia, and Canada for the occasion.
Mrs. Babcock came to Nyack as a bride. Her husband, Harry, who preceded her death by more than 12 years, commuted from Nyack to his office employment with the Erie Railroad in Church Street, New York City. Mr. and Mrs. Babcock moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where they resided for a number of years. In more recent years Mrs. Babcock lived in Baton Rouge.
Surviving Mrs. Babcock are a sister, Mrs. Harry Jackson Robertson, Pearl River, a brother, Stephen Barton Quackenbush, Mountainville, a granddaughter, Crystal Glenn Babcock, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Hazel Ellis Babcock Seguin, both of Baton Rouge. Also, many nieces and nephews, and a number of grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral services were held at the Rorbenhorst Funeral Home and interment was in Coral Cemetery in Baton Rouge.
Friends desiring to do so are asked by the family to contribute to the Rockland County Chapter of the American Cancer Society in her name.
