Alfred Stewart, 78-year-old resident of Mt. Morris, died Sunday afternoon, Nov. 26, 1944, at four o'clock, after an illness of four weeks. He was a well known farmer and had spent most of his life in the Mt. Morris community.
He was born in West Virginia on Nov. 18, 1866 and was the son of the late Barnette and Margaret Stewart. He is survived by two nephews. His wife is deceased.

Funeral services for Alfred Stewart, of Mt. Morris, who died Sunday afternoon, Nov. 26, 1944, will be held at the Mt. Morris Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 28, at 2 o'clock, in charge of Rev. A. J. Jenkins. The casket will be open for one hour before the church service. Burial will be in the Lemley Cemetery, near Mt. Morris. Edward C. Beall, of Davistown, is the funeral director.
