Nick Aquila was the son of Jas Aquila of Italy. He immigrated to the US in 1914 from Casino, Italy at the age of 24. He married a Teresina Tellnies around 1920. The 1920 census records stated they were married. She was Born in 1897 in Italy and immigrated to the US in 1919. According to the 1920 census records she was listed as an "Alien". It also stated that their Naturalization papers were submitted. But there is no record for a Teresina Aquilla after 1920. So it is likely, after her husband died in the mine disaster she went home to Italy with her infant son.
