Father-In-Law of Decatur Woman Dies Following Fall
Eli Engle, 82, father-in-law of Mrs. Clay Engle of Decatur, died at the St. Joseph's hospital in Fort Wayne Sunday morning at 7:20 o'clock as the result of injuries sustained when he fractured his hip in a fall at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Wolf of Fort Wayne, a week ago.
Besides Mrs. Engle and Mrs. Wolf are four grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
The body was returned to the home on U.S. road 39, west of Lincolndale this noon. Funeral services will be held at 1 0'clock Tuesday afternoon at the home and at 2 0'clock at the Washington church, five miles southwest of Decatur with e Rev. R.J. Burris, officiating. Burial will be made at the Ray cemetery south of Decatur.
Son of William and Elizabeth Marsh Engle. Married Amy Andrews September 13, 1879. Children: Elmer Clay, Victoria, Mary A, Drusilla A (Wolfe), Cary. He was a farmer and road contractor.
