"Earl McGee, Long Resident Here, Taken by Death --- Following a long illness, Earl McGee, 48, resident of Red Bluff for 24 years, died here at 1:30 a.m. today.
"Mr. McGee was born in Elwood, Kan., June 23, 1891. While residing in Palo Alto for a short while he became a charter member of the American Legion there.
"He was united in marriage with Mabel Gilson, Sept. 23, 1917, in Red Bluff.
"In addition to his widow he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Amanda Heibner, Red Bluff; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Heibner, Red Bluff, and the following brothers, Daniel of Richmond, MO, Luman of Oakland, John of San Francisco and Thomas McGee of Willows.
"Funeral services will be held from the chapel of the Fickert funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. E. W. McCash conducting the rites. Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery."
