Mrs. Perle Barton, 85, of 325 1st St., Phillips, died at 6:15 a.m. Saturday at North Plains Hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ed Brown & Sons Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Weldon Rives, pastor of Phillips United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park.

A housewife, she was a native of DeLeon. She had been a Phillips resident for 36 years and was a member of the Phillips United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, B.O. Barton of Phillips; a daughter, Mrs. P.O. Eakin of Phillips; two sisters, Mrs. W.E. Jenkins of Uvalde and Mrs. Jackie Cavett of Tahoka; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Her husband Jim Barton died in April of 1978.

Honorary pallbearers will be D.W. McClellan, Walter Meyer, L.E. Cates, Donald Fine, Ernest E. Hatfield, D. Russell Weston, O.R. Carpenter, Jack Winters, James Harmon, Calvin Green and D.Z. Jackson.
