LEOMINSTER - Muzzio Cirillo , 79, of Leominster, a machinist for many years, died Friday at home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 52 years, Girolama (Romano) Cirillo ; three daughters, Geraldine A. Colosi of Lancaster, Pa., Joanne Adams of Matawan, N.J., and Bettyann Cirillo of Leominster; four brothers, Joseph Cirillo of Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y., Bruno Cirillo of Plainview, N.Y., Ferrer Cirillo in New York state and Robert Cirillo in Florida; a sister, Kay Renna of Long Island City, Queens, N.Y.; seven grandsons; four great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Hoboken, N.J., son of Crescenzo and Portzia (Nataluccio) Cirillo , and lived most of his life in New York City before moving here 3 1/2 year ago. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe. He saw action in the Ardennes, northern France, the Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Cirillo was a machinist at a maker of fireproof doors in the Bronx, N.Y., for many years, retiring in 1983.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight and tomorrow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 7 Oak St., Worcester 01609.
