Capt. Joseph Fuller Jr. 1773 to 1795

Joseph Fuller Jr., son of Joseph, was born in East Haddam, Connecticut and was buried in Rogers Cemetery Center Moreland, Lucerne County Pennsylvania about 12 miles west Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He married Zerviah Hill who was born in Sherborn, Massachusetts July 13, 1732. They were married on August 10, 1752. Zerviah was the daughter of Solomon and Mary Hill.
They lived in Stockbridge Massachusetts for a time. Deeds show that Joseph Jr. owned land there in 1767. In 1772 they also purchase land in the Wyoming Valley of Pennsylvania where they later move. At the outbreak of the Revolutionary war Joseph Jr. return to Kent Connecticut. Both he and his father and his son Joshua were revolutionary soldiers. Joseph became a Captain in the 18th Connecticut Regiment. In 1795 he sold his land in Kent, Connecticut to his brother Jeremiah and moved with his family to Plymouth, Luzerne County, Penn. area. His sons Joshua, Benajah And Jehiel were in Jackson Township in 1795. History notes from Plymouth speak of this man as among a class of Pioneers who scale the northern wall of Shawnee Mountain and settled on the western slope, literally in the wilderness. Joseph Jr. had nine children one of which was Jehiel born on October 15, 1763 and Kent, Connecticut.
He was a direct descendant of Edward Fuller of the Mayflower.

The Fuller family has now moved 400 miles west since arriving on the Mayflower.
