Window of Chief Leschi (pronounced LESH-eye).
Mrs. Leschi was 85 years of age at her death, having been born in Tenino in 1839, and raised by Louis Qultima. For many years she lived near Satsop with the Satsop tribe. She was the mother of seven children, none of whom were living at her death.

"Early history of Pierce County and the Puget Sound district was brought vividly into the foreground Friday afternoon when Indians from all over this section of the state gathered at the Old Puyallup Indian Cemetery adjoining the present Cushman Hospital for burial of Mrs. Mary Leschi, widow Chief Leschi one of the outstanding characters in the Indian councils of the last century."
At her request she was buried in the Leschi lot at The Old Puyallup Indian Cemetery, Tacoma Washington by the side of her husband Chief Leschi.
