Grandma Judith lived way before our time. We never had the opportunity to know this grandmother, but we can image how her life might have been. Between historical accounts & area histories. Also movies depicting & covering her period of time from 1815 to 1902. We can have some understanding how her life evolved. I'm guessing Judith's daughter, was named after Queen Victoria of England. Historical people were looked up to & so admired. It was common for parents to name their children after that person the family admired. That's one reason there were so many children named after our first U.S. President, George Washington. Large family's were common back then. I have found that Peter & Judith had twelve children. These are the names I found: Cornelia; Frances "Frank"; Caroline L. ; Queen Victoria ; Gustav; Austin A.; Adalia A. ; Clara Mary; Ann; Evelyn or Evaline; Flora I.; Clara L.

Mother & 1st born child, Cornelia, a daughter, apparently is buried in the same grave or next to her mother Judith. Judith is a fraternal 3rd Great-Grandmother
to my husband. Her daughter Queen Victoria (Gilson) Ewing is our direct contact to the Ewing-Gilson Lineage.

Gravesite Details

Square Column style blue marble stone marker. The photo was posted on 30 June 2010. In the photo, it looks like some kind of lichen was starting to attach to the bottom part of the marker.
