Dies, Aged 74;
Rites Tuesday
MIDDLEPORT - Funeral services for Arthur V. Jenkins, 74, who died Sunday afternoon at his home in Cheshire, will be conducted at the Rawlings-Coats funeral home, at 2 p.m., Tuesday, with burial in the Gravel Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Sherley Wood, pastor of the Cheshire Baptist Church will officiate, and there will be a Masonic service at the time of the funeral.
The Jenkins' moved from the Kyger area, where Mr. Jenkins was a well known farmer, to Cheshire, two years ago. He is survived by his wife, two children, Mrs. John H. Reese, of Gallipolis; Benjamin F. Jenkins, at home; two grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Jenkins of Cheshire, Floyd V. Jenkins of Mason and a sister, Mrs. Garfield Searles of Cheshire.
A son, Earl Jenkins and two sisters, Mrs. Flora Bradbury and Mrs. Nora Tate, died previously.
He was the son of Ben and Lucy Evans Jenkins, a member of Siloam Lodge, No. 456, F&AM for 53 years, and a charter member of the Cheshire Order of Eastern Star.
