Carl Jenkins
Carl Jenkins, 82, former resident of Gallia County, died late Sunday in St. Joseph's Hospital at Augusta, S.C.
A native of Gallia County, son of the late Benjamin F. and Lucy Evans Jenkins, he had been living with a daughter, Mrs. George Higgins of North Augusta. He had spent most of his life in Gallia County, moving to South Carolina about a year ago.
He is also survived by a brother Floyd of Clearwater, Fla., and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Helen Guthrie Jenkins in 1931, and his second wife, Mrs. Dot Clark Jenkins in 1965.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Old Kyger Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Cheesebrew officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the McCoy Wetherholt Funeral Home.
