Carrie Lockridge, 98, Claremore, OK (formerly of Independence & Melbourne, MO) passed away, Thursday, Oct. 22, at a Claremore, OK nursing home.
She was born March 3, 1911 in Mystic, IA the daughter of William Herbert and Hannah (Brierly) Mather.
On December 24, 1932, she married Lloyd Lockridge. He preceded her in death.
Carrie and Lloyd moved to Independence where Lloyd retired from Ford Motor Company.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, William Francis Lockridge; brothers, James and Robert Mather; and sister, Alice Lowe.
Survivors include her daughter Mary Ellen Hightree and husband, Edward; daughter-in-law, Linda Sue Lockridge; 5 grandchildren, Denise Lebow and husband, Jim, Stacy Wills and husband, Michael, Mark Hightree and wife, Angela, Anita Godwin and husband, Stewart, Sharie Phillips and husband, Rodney; 12 great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Hailey Innes, James, Kevin, and Sarah Hightree, Hannah, Emma, and Zachary Wills, Garrett, Braydon and Logan Phillips, and Sydney Godwin; nephews, Gilbert Lowe and wife, Joann, Charles Lowe and wife, Goldie, nieces Carol Gilbson and Peggy Arnold; several great nieces and nephews; and all her loving friends.
