She was the beloved wife of the late Samuel D. Allen for 65 years and is survived by her children; Charles A. Allen and his wife Suzie, Louise Allen Anderson and her husband Jim, Sam D. Allen, Jr. and his wife Robin, Steven H. Allen and his wife Pam; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Peter Perfect.
She was a graduate of Savannah High School, Armstrong Junior College and the University of Georgia. The importance of family and church were central to her life. Being a life long member of Bull Street Baptist Church, she and her husband devoted many years of service to the RA, GA and other youth groups of the church. She was a past president of the church WMU and a Sunday school teacher for many age groups and a current member of the Pilot Sunday School class. The generosity of her life was exemplified by the sharing of her home and time with extended family, friends and numerous church functions. There was always something going on.
Services were entrusted to Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors of Savannah, Georgia.
