Last rites for John T. Goss held in Vaiden

Last rites for John Trussell Goss were conducted from the Methodist Church in Vaiden with Rev. Wright assisted by Rev. Ezell officiating. Mr. Goss died February first at the Coahoma County Hospital, Clarksdale after an illness of one week.

Mr. Goss was born in Attala County in 1881 and married to the former Miss Jessie Lee Tyler who passed away January 21. He was a member of the Joe Applewhite Lodge F&AM Masons. He was a member of the Clarksdale Methodist Church.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. B. H. Oaks, Jackson; one son, C. H. Goss Sr., Clarksdale; three sisters, Mrs. Sallie Crook, Vaiden, Mrs. Minnie Lou Standard, Batesville, Mrs. Hattie Mae Hodges, New York City; two sons, Samuel K. Goss, and Charlie W. Goss of Kosciusko, 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Clarence Goss, Billy E. Goss, Bobby H. Goss, Kirvin Goss, George R. Rosamond, Bill Pollock.

Burial was in the Providence Cemetery under the direction of Oliver Funeral Home.
