Darryl E. Fedewa Ann Arbor Age 49, was called home on Ash Wednesday, February 17, 2010, after a courageous fight with melanoma. Darryl was born on January 4, 1961, to Joseph and Janice (Wieber) Fedewa. He was a 1979 graduate of Pewamo-Westphalia HS and a 1985 graduate of Ferris State University. He was a dedicated and successful employee with Heart Truss and Engineering for 23 years, where he was instrumental in developing sales and relationships throughout the southeast portion of Michigan. Darryl was an active member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Ann Arbor, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8989 and a Eucharistic minister. At various times, he also served as a youth basketball coach, a Cub Scout pack leader, and a religious education instructor. He was very generous with his time and talents. On September 21, 1991, Darryl married Carol Bearss at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo; they were blessed with two sons, Darren and Adam. In addition to his wife and sons in Ann Arbor those surviving to treasure his memories include his parents Joseph and Janice Fedewa of Westphalia, his brothers Joseph (Mary) Fedewa of Westphalia and Kevin (Lou Ann) Fedewa of Lansing, and his sister Janell (Kurt) Thelen of Fowler. Also surviving Darryl are his brothers-in-law Jeff (Margo) Bearss of Swartz Creek, Paul (Amy) Bearss of Westphalia and Glenn (Dayna) Bearss of Grand Rapids, and many nieces and nephews that he thoroughly enjoyed. He was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Elizabeth Bearss and his grandparents, Joseph and Elizabeth Fedewa and Raymond and Florence Wieber. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 21, at Nie Family Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Rd., Ann Arbor, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and 6:30-9 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 22, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2250 E. Stadium Blvd., Ann Arbor, at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
