Nicholas Wilgus, 921 Lackawanna Ave., Mayfield, died Friday in Mid-Valley Hospital, Peckville, following an illness. His wife, the former Anna Zavada, preceded him in death. Born in Wilkes-Barre, son of the late Jacob and Mary Wilgus, he was a retired coal miner and a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Several nieces and nephews survive, including Mrs. Lillian Fife, with whom he had resided. The funeral will be conducted Monday at 9 a.m. from the John S. Ryczak Funeral Home, 901 Lackawanna Ave., Mayfield, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Mayfield. Viewing tonight 7 to 9, and Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
