She was born Nov.7,1920,to the late Virgil and Maggie Spencer Bowling in Elliott County, Ky.She was reared by her grandparents,the late Henry and Rinda Spencer.
In addition to her parents and grandparents,she was preceded in death by her husband, Rollie Banks; a sister,Marie Horton;two brothers, Charles Henry Bowling and Hoyd Bowling;and a grandson, Chris Wheeler.
She is survived by a sister,Dollie Taylor of Dayton, Ohio; two daughters,Helen (Ronald) Wheeler of Isonville, Ky.,and Diane Marble of Sandy Hook, Ky.; a son,Stanley (Barbara) Banks of Morehead, Ky.;grandchildren Vanessa (Don) Marksberry,Tony Wheeler,Stephanie (Gary) Hardin and Paul (Rhonda) Banks;great-grandchildren Derek Wheeler,Rachel and Allison Banks and Brandon Marksberry;a great-great-grandson,Trace Wheeler; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook. Burial will be in Bowling-Todd Cemetery.
