Rosamond Low Chapman was born August 8, 1882 in Fairhaven, Massachusetts to William Gillman Low and Lois Robbins Curtis. She grew up in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Tuxedo Park, Orange County, and Rhode Island.

She married John H. Chapman on June 1, 1905 in Brooklyn. After nearly fifty-seven years of marriage, he passed away on January 18, 1962. They had two sons, Eustace Blackwell Chapman and Robert Low Chapman.

She was a lifelong member of the Republican Party, and was active in the Episcopal Church.

Rosamond passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 1976 at her home of causes incident to age. She resided on Konittekock Road in Greenwich at the time of her death.

Following a Funeral Service in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church located at 351 Main Street in Ridgefield, Rosamond was laid to rest at Scott's Cemetery in Titicus.
