BELLEVUE—Daniel 0. New-berry, 77, of 324 Sharkey ave., died Sunday night in a Battle Creek hospital where he had been a patient for the past seven weeks. He was born in Constantine, a son of Jesse and Sarah (Confer) Newberry. He was married May 21, 1910 to Florence Weatherbee in Kalamazoo. He retired in 1951 after being employed for 30 years in the power plant at the Kellogg Co. in Battle Creek. He was a member of the Kellogg 25-Year Club and the Bellevue Grange. Surviving are his wife; six daughters, Mrs. Russell (Maxine) Palmer of Route 8, Battle Creek, Mrs. Linwood (Mildred) Angus of Route 1, Bellevue, Mrs. Rus-sell (Jessie) White of Route 7, Battle Creek, Mrs. Ardis Draper of Bellevue, Mrs. Louis (Norma) Roach of Route 3, Bellevue, Mrs. Richard (Joan) Evans o 821 Field Dr., Battle Creek; three sons, Maurice of Route 4, and Junior of Route 3, Bellevue and Rex of Route 3, Bellevue; 36 Grandchildren; one step-grandchild; 17 great-grandchildren; and one brother Clarence Newberry of Kalamazoo.
