CARRIERE --- Harold Lavigne, 56, died Sunday, May 14, 2000, in Picayune.
Mr. Lavigne was a native of Picayune and was a retired shop foreman for Greyhound Bus Company. He was a member of White Chapel Church of God in Carriere.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Albert "Shorty" Lavigne; and a sister, Margie Kay Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Lavigne of Carriere; a son, Shane Lavigne of Carriere; two daughters, Jennifer Lavigne and Jessica Lavigne, both of Picayune; four brothers, Hooper Lavigne of Picayune and Willie Robert Lavigne, John Henry Lavigne and Stephen Lavigne, all of Carriere; and five sisters, Glenda Alligood and Alice Delaney, both of Carriere, Linda Pitre of Chalmette, La., and Addie Mae Lavigne and Myrtle Faye Bradshaw, both of Picayune.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 tonight at Picayune Funeral Home. A service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at White Chapel Church of God in Carriere where friends may call one hour before service time. Burial will be in Gipson Cemetery in Carriere. Picayune Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
