A native of McDowell County, Mrs. Bartlett was born April 12, 1915 and was the daughter of the late Joseph Lee Harris and Mary Etta Banning Harris.
She was a homemaker and a member of a non-denominational church. She will be remembered by her family as a loving mother, grand and great grandmother. Preceding Mrs. Bartlett in death was her husband, Lawrence Bartlett and a son, Wayne Bartlett.
Surviving Mrs. Bartlett is a son, Paul Bartlett and wife Lynn; daughter, Alma Bartlett, all of Marion; four grandchildren: Suzanne, Bill, David and John; four great grandchildren: Kyle, Cody, Matthew and Jason.
A funeral service will be held Friday, January 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Westmoreland Chapel with Ministers Robert Flippo and Al Goff officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in McDowell Memorial Park.
