Frank Kosar, 78, the son ol Frank, Sr. and Ernestine Neidel Kosar was born May 18, 1916 on a farm south of Glasco. He departed his life Thursday, October 27, 1994 at St. John's Regional Health Center in Salina.

He was united in marriage to Marjorie Cerveny April 29, 1937 at Minneapolis. They farmed north of Ada until moving to Salina in 1975. Frank worked at area sale barns, including Farmers and Ranchers Livestock Commission Co. in Salina who honored him for 30 years of service. He was a former owner of Vita-Villa in Salina. Frank attended the First Southern Baptist Church in Salina and was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge, Glasco.

Survivors include his wife Marjorie of the home; a daughter Vonda Piehl of Aurora, Colo; and three grandchildren, Allison, Jennifer and Trey. He was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew Kosar.

The funeral was held Saturday, Oct. 29 at Shields Funeral Home in Minneapolis with Rev. Glenn Davis officiating. Brett and Rosie Prochaska were the vocalists and Melba Bruce was the organist.

Casket bearers were Jake Jacobson, Marvin Lembke, Clarence Becker, Steve Hauck, Bob Grace and Albert L. Prochaska. Burial was in Bohemian National Cemetery, Ada.

The family suggests memorials to the music department of the First Southern Baptist Church, Salina.
