Thomas B. Brox, 60, a resident of the Tolley community for 34 years passed away at Deaconness hospital Sunday morning, death resulting from a stroke; he had been ill only three days.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from St. Peter & Pauls Church at Tolley, with the Rev. Donald J. Becwar officiating and interment was made in the Tolley cemetery. Pallbearers were Christ Peterson, Joseph Resch, C.C. Resch, Joseph Zeltinger, Carlos O’Fallon and Herman Rowland. The M. Ringen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Brox was born at Dazey, N. Dak. January 29, 1887. His marriage to the former Dora Weber was solemnized at Tolley August 9, 1916.

He is survived by his widow; a brother Albert J. Brox of Valley City; three sisters, Mrs. John Lundgren, Tolley; Mrs. W.E. Quick, Dazey, and Mrs. N.R. Martin of Big Sandy, Mont., also surviving are a half-brother Bernard E. Brox of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Jack Henderson, Allen, Wash. His parents, one brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Relatives from out of town attending the funeral were Mrs. R.N. Martin, Big Sandy, Mont.; Mrs. W.E. Quick, Dazey; Albert Brox, Valley City; Clifford, Ralph, and Edmund Quick and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Quick of Dazey; Mrs. Kenneth Hanson, Cooperstown; Ernest Brox, Crosby; Mr. and Mrs. F. Dahinden and son Vernon of Joplin, Mont.; Walter Weber, Livingston, Mont., and Mrs. Clarence Wunderlich, Chicago, Ill.
